“Heroism is not only in the man, but in the occasion.” -Calvin Coolidge
Miles Morales, the new friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Izuku Midoriya, the hero for all known as Deku.
A hero is a term that’s varied in definition drastically over the years, but what has not changed is its immortality. The concept has continued to exist for countless generations, with its embodiment being as clear as can be with these two teenage successors. Through thick and thin, they’ve proven themselves worthy of their burdens, fighting to win so that they can save every last person. Today however, the objective is cut short to just win. Can Spider-Man web up Midoriya to swing towards a victory, or will Deku smash Morales into pieces? Time to figure it out, as we get ready for a DEATH BATTLE!
Before We Start…

For Spider-Man, we’ll be analyzing the mainline version of Miles Morales from Earth-1610, who later made Earth-616 his home post-Secret Wars. Scaling to other Spider-Men is on the table, including alternate versions of himself, but nothing exclusive to any of his counterparts (i.e. powers that only Insomniac’s Miles has used) will be accounted for. In addition, Spider-Verse scaling will only cover adaptations heavily prevalent within those crossover events, so as to not put major emphasis on versions that just show up (or even just get mentioned) for the sake of cameos. Sorry, no MvC scaling today.
As for Deku, we’ll be focusing on the original manga, anime adaptation, canon films, and canon spin off manga. His prime will be used, AKA him once he started fighting Shigaraki in the Final War. He will not be given his post-timeskip super armor.
Also, Major Spoilers for miscellaneous Marvel comics. But more notably, the final fights of My Hero Academia, as its manga is done, and the anime adaptation for those final fights is not releasing until the end of 2025.

Spider-Man
The Marvel Universe is full of wonderful and amazing heroes, heroes like Captain America, Iron Man and the one Amazing Spider-Man. Enter Miles Gonzalo Morales, a typical teenager who lived an average life with his mother Rio and father Jefferson. Until one day a very strange spider bit him while he was visiting his uncle Aaron. Days after being bitten Miles developed superhuman abilities and was initially very hesitant to do anything with them. He neglected his powers and decided to leave all hero work to Peter Parker, the original Spider-Man. Months later due to his decision Peter Parker ends up falling in battle. Leaving New York without a Spider-Man to protect them. Miles felt immense guilt and decided then and there to follow Peter’s philosophy, With great power there must also come great responsibility.
During his first night out as Spider-Man, Miles faced Kangaroo, and while he won the fight his inexperience was clear for all to see as he had worn a Spider-Man Halloween costume which isn’t made for superhero battles. After meeting Spider-Woman and helping the Ultimates defeat Electro, he was given his iconic black and red suit and allowed to become the new Spider-Man. During his time as the new Spider-Man Miles tries his best to live up to the Ideals of Peter. Stopping crime and villains and even earning the blessing of 616 Peter during a crossover event. One day however, Aaron deduces that Miles is the new Spider-Man and he makes an offer to work with Miles. After Aaron uses Miles in his conflict with the Scorpion, Miles realizes he is being manipulated and refuses to assist his uncle with his criminal activities; this leads to an altercation which results in Aaron’s weapons to malfunction and kill him. The death of Aaron had an effect on Miles that continues to be echoed to this day.
After a ton of adventures including a battle against Venom, meeting Peter Parker of Earth 1610 (He got better), becoming part of the Young Ultimates, Miles became involved in the Spider-Verse event, He was recruited into the Spider-Army to do battle against the Inheritors who were basically vampires who like to feed on Spider-People. It’s here where he would meet iconic Spider-Heroes from across the multiverse like Miguel O’ Hara (Spider-Man 2099), Kaine Parker (Scarlet Spider), Hobie Brown aka Spider-Punk, Spider-Ham, Spider-Man Noir, Takuya Yamashiro (The GOAT), Peni Parker, and even a love interest Gwen Stacy of Earth 65 (Ghost Spider). But this would not be the end of Miles’s multiversal adventures as entire Marvel universes would collide in the event known as Secret Wars.
To make a long story short, Doctor Doom of Earth 616 in typical Doom fashion seized the powers of the Beyonders, and crafts a new patchworld planet named Battleworld, and rules it as a god. After some shenanigans, Miles was brought into the mainline 616 universe thanks to Molecule Man after Miles gave him a hamburger. Now he exists in the mainline Marvel universe, in fact history was rewritten so it seemed like he was always there. Now as part of the main universe, Miles gets into more adventures like a second Civil War where he fought on Team Iron Man, becoming a founding member of the teenage superhero team the Champions alongside Nova (Sam Alexander) and Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan), fighting the Sinister Six, fighting Carnage, fighting vampires with Blade, facing his own Clone Saga, even more Multiverse adventures, and even becoming the herald of the Spider-God Anansi.
But despite how grand his life became, Miles never forgot the ideals all Spider-People follow, choosing to do the right thing, not for the sake of fame or fortune but because it is the responsible thing to do. So people of New York don’t be afraid as whenever any bad guy threatens the neighborhood you can be sure Miles won’t be too far behind and ready to bring justice to any evil doer. What else can you say about this young man other than Amazing.
Deku
In a world where 80% of the population was born with a supernatural ability, a Quirk, Izuku Midoriya shined with his hopes of heroism… only to fall into the powerless 20%. No shining ability, no chance to save the world. He was simply Deku: a powerless failure who could accomplish nothing. But in spite of his lack of physical strength, his strength in spirit was truly remarkable. Even after countless years of being told he couldn’t save a soul, he kept going. Would it be from his childhood friend turned bully Bakugo, Izuku’s image of victory. Or his greatest admiration, the number one hero All Might. Or even the fear that crawled through his body, telling him he could never accomplish a thing. Despite everything, Izuku Midoriya still made an attempt to save his so-called bully from a monstrous super villain when no one else dared. Why would they? It would risk their own safety, as well as put the hostage in danger. But to All Might, this shining moment proved everyone wrong about Izuku Midoriya: he could be a hero, he just needed the means to be one.
Enter One For All, a Quirk passed across generations from one mentor to another, and eventually to All Might. The hero offered Izuku Midoriya the chance to become something more with what was literally the greatest burden in the world, being the greatest power it had ever seen. Moving past his fears, the young boy accepted the power and his new role as All Might’s eventual successor. One All Mighty training montage later, Midoriya landed into UA High to pursue his heroic pursuits with the greatest hero professors Japan had to offer. Through countless exercises, exams, and events, Midoriya’s talent as a hero truly began to shine. But not necessarily physically. Sure, One For All was incredible even in its weaker stages, and Midoriya’s craftiness and hero knowledge made him top of his class when it came to strategic combat. But all in all, like All Might before him, Izuku was simply a great person who wanted to help others.
Clearing up Shoto Todoroki’s thoughts of his toxic father. Leading the astray Tenya Iida away from destructive revenge. Motivating the clumsy Ochaco Uraraka to put aside her weaknesses. Heck, even helping former bully turned rival Katsuki Bakugo see past his ambition in order to view the bigger picture. Midoriya didn’t just want to save others from a dangerous world. He wanted to save everyone from everything. To the point where it did not matter what challenge was ahead; he would push himself past every limit, every feeling of pain, to come out on top. Winning to save, and saving to win. Every. Single. Time. But through countless encounters with deadly villains, Midoriya would be pushed to breaking point after breaking point, still succeeding but occasionally experiencing painful costs. This would all lead to the biggest and most brutal challenge yet in the form of All For One. And more personally, All For One’s own successor: Tomura Shigaraki and his League of Villains. The new Symbol of Fear, contrasting the Symbol of Peace Midoriya was trying to be for All Might’s sake.
Despite discovering new abilities within One For All, developing the power itself to the point of absurd levels of strength, and having done so much for so many… how could he be satisfied? It wasn’t like Tomura Shigaraki was some personification of evil like All For One was, he had a tragic past and a buried admiration of the heroes Midoriya also loved. Not to mention the world was basically on fire now given All Might had recently retired, several heroes had fallen, Shigaraki had grown in power, all of UA was in danger, his friends were at risk, One For All wasn’t fully developed yet, he had to defeat both Shigaraki and All For One, and worst of all? All of this was on his mind, 24/7. Even with the counsel of a retired yet still capable All Might, as well as the vestiges of the previous wielders of One For All, Midoriya’s burdens had piled up too much. He had become too concentrated on winning to save, and fighting for everyone’s sake but his own…
Luckily, everyone was willing to put their sakes aside for him. The entirety of Class 1-A, the entirety of UA High, his greatest friends; in a mix of apologies and statements of worry, Midoriya was led back to UA High to prepare himself. He wasn’t alone when it came to carrying the burden the world had placed on him, as his desire to do whatever was needed was no longer a torch only he carried. It was one wielded by the next generation of heroes, a generation Izuku Midoriya had defined. And so, a final war raged across Japan, with a final showdown between new Symbols of Peace and Fear erupting. Despite the stakes and the devil that stood in front of him, Midoriya fought with an undying confidence against the greatest villain ever made. But no blow from Shigaraki hurt as hard as the realization of what he would need to do to reach his definition of victory: give up One For All to damage Shigaraki’s soul, countering his powers and reaching out to Shigaraki directly.
One For All had allowed Midoriya to do everything he accomplished as a hero, allowing him to carry on All Might’s legacy. It was more than a power, it was a key to a door that had led to the greatest time of his life. But Izuku Midoriya is anything but weak in spirit. With a series of blows, a communication with Shigaraki, and a final confrontation between him and All For One, the world cheered and the heroes who supported him rallied as the greatest evil of all time was… killed. Despite their victory, it was a hollow one for Izuku. More than losing One For All, he had lost the chance to rescue Shigaraki, only winning rather than saving. However, the tortured soul of the so called Symbol of Fear left the hero with one last request, to fix the world that had scarred him so horribly. And who better to do it than Izuku Midoriya? He had seen both good and evil be evil and good, and in spite of it all was still the great person who wanted to save everything and everyone. He gladly pursued this goal.
And so, Izuku Midoriya continues to be a hero with the support of friends. Together, they laughed, cried, put a billion dollars down the drain to make their now Quirkless friend a new super suit so he could get back into action, and hey! The world turned out way better than alright in the end. Everyone working to be better for everything, and everything working to be better for everyone. So watch out. Izuku Midoriya has the most shining ability of all in the form of his heroism. No need to save the world he’s already brought back from the brink. He’s simply Deku: the hero who can do anything.
Experience & Skill
Spider-Man
When he first began his superhero career Miles was very inexperienced and lacked control and skill with his powers. Nowadays that is no longer the case as not only has Miles gained valuable hero experience, he also became quite skilled at fighting. For instance, he was able to hold his own against Old Man Logan, an alternate version of Wolverine who is an extremely skilled fighter and he was also able to predict the path of an attack from a teleporter. Even early on in his career Miles learned how to fight like Spider-Man from watching 1610 Peter’s fights on video and he even trained under the Ultimates. After moving to 616, he even became a member of the Avengers, being taught by seasoned veterans like Iron Man and Captain America to improve his skills.
In terms of experience, Miles has been Spider-Man for quite some time. He started being Spidey when he was 13 and now he is in his late teens. Under Colleen Wing, Miles became a practitioner of Kenjutsu, learning how to wield a sword against dangerous opponents like symbiotes and vampires. A useful skill to have considering his Venom Saber. He also trained with Misty Knight, an experienced hero in her right. He also loves copying moves from anime, like picking on a Manji Kick from Yuji Itadori (Jujutsu Kaisen) and the Chidori from Sasuke Uchiha (Naruto). He even copied the iconic Dio walk.
Miles has also shown how crafty he could be in a fight, such as using his invisibility to get the drop on Scorpion, burning out Rhino’s electronics, pulling Armadillo to the ground, catching Hammerhead’s charge and throwing him and even blinding Graviton to stop him from using his powers temporarily. Generally showing that if he can find a weakness, he has the skill and tools to exploit it.
Overall, Miles is very gifted in using his arsenal in creative ways. Combined with his training from veteran heroes and his overall experience as Spider-Man, It makes sense why he would overwhelm even experienced veterans like Hydra Cap and the Prowler. Miles is so gifted in his technique that not even his clones are able to overwhelm him. Not only that but an evil AI named the Assessor was constantly impressed by Miles’s performance as he was able to overcome all of the obstacles in his path. The Assessor was even impressed by Miles having faster reactions then his AI Drones.
Deku
When it comes to battle tactics, Midoriya is definitely top of his class. Even before entering UA High and training with the best of the best, he had a very analytical mind given his constant study of heroes, and All Might acknowledged his ability to make split second decisions. For instance, he was able to react to and keep up with Bakugo in their first ever fight due to having studied his patterns for an extended period of time. Maybe not something he can apply to someone he’s just met (at least right off the bat, given how he only got so far when analyzing Mirio’s early moves), but he’s definitely capable when it comes to determining enemy options and behaviors, and he definitely improved throughout the series even off of this strong start.
This comes to mind with later fights like his second battle against Muscular, where the villain’s suddenly more awkward movements made it clear to Deku that he was vulnerable and could be easily taken out with a clean strike. Or with his battle against Lady Nagant, where he used smoke and decoys to keep her focused on any movement in the area long enough for him to speed up and catch her off guard from behind (which also let him figure out her location). Potentially his most notable examples is during the final fight with Shigaraki, where first he fooled his stolen Danger Sense Shigaraki was using by creating a masking threat to hide another presented danger hidden in smoke. A second remarkable instance was later on, where he countered Shigaraki’s tracking by hiding himself with an alternate life force and a decoy, creatively using smoke (something that was seemingly hard countered) to enhance the misdirection while altering the landscape to work with this idea perfectly.
In general, Deku is constantly strategizing 24/7. Would it be before or during the fight, he is always thinking of some plan to execute, with him being open to adaptations mid battle if necessary. Early examples of him making top notch preparations go back as far as the Sports Festival Cavalry Battle, where he made specific picks to maximize evasive capabilities, all of which worked out nearly perfectly (until he got juked but the point still stands). Notable cases of mid fight adaptations include cases like when he realized the potency of Eri’s rewind Quirk, and realized he could match its rewinding frequency with his own injuries to use his full power without consequence. He’s adjusted to negative factors as well and is willing to play things safe if needed, like during the 1A VS 1B training battle where he adjusted the speed of his approach and percentage of utilized power to avoid risking an overcharge of One For All.
But while Izuku can definitely play things safe if needed, he is also very used to playing ludicrously dangerously if needed. Early in his hero career, he was willing to keep fighting Todoroki even after breaking his fingers twice just to keep the fight going. Even in the middle of the series, with two super broken arms and a bunch of blood loss, an adrenaline rush was strong enough to keep him running and villain-fighting for another hour. The most extreme example would be in the climax of the series, where despite nearly suffocating twice, having broken bones all over, and being coated in a plethora of other wounds, Deku just kept on going at full output by puppeting his own body with the Black Whip Quirk. Safe to say that would it be in his early days or late game, Izuku Midoriya’s endurance is just completely unbelievable. If he is conscious, he will keep fighting with everything he’s got.
Perhaps what Deku excels at most however is the application of his powers during combat. Beyond just using super strength creatively for air-shockwave attacks and evasive maneuvers, Midoriya has also trained extensively with the top hero Endeavor to work on his parallel processing. This has led to rapid development when it comes to not just mastering the usage of all of his Quirks, but also using them in tandem excellently. Basic cases include using Smoke Screen to give himself the awareness advantage thanks to Danger Sense giving him enemy locations (seen above), or using Fa Jin to amplify the speed of Float while using the movement created by Float to build up energy for Fa Jin. But when he gets serious, Deku is coordinated enough to put every Quirk together into a quickly made plan in a single quickly made maneuver. The main case would be against Shigaraki, where he used Smoke Screen to blind him, Danger Sense to track him, Float to gain height, Black Whip with Fa Jin to bind and reposition him, and Gearshift to amplify Fa Jin for an all out destructive One For All blow.
Safe to say, Deku is not just versatile, but a great strategist. He is perfectly capable of applying his tools efficiently, measuring and taking risks, and staying in the right mindset regardless of pain and distractions. All of these points go along with how many distinct enemies Midoriya has fought, including a duel cryo and pyromancer, a literal muscle head brute, a matter rearranging mob boss, a mind manipulator with a plethora of wire like scarf tendrils, the absolute mess of abilities Tomura Shigaraki is, etc. He’s seen everything, and is ready for anything.
Equipment
Spider-Man
Uniform
There isn’t a lot to say about the standard Spider-Man suit aside from Miles’ in particular having a really cool nice looking red and black compared to Peter’s normal red and blue. It hides his secret identity well and despite being skin tight, it’s surprisingly tough, taking all sorts of hits for Miles over the years.
Web-Shooters
Originally given Ultimate Peter Parker’s original web-shooters by his Aunt May, before getting an upgraded set courtesy of S.H.I.E.L.D. Miles of course has used it a lot like how other Spider-people have used it such as the obvious swinging around, using it to help pull large objects with his strength and shooting it as a projectile to trap people or even blind them. The webbing is very tough, strong enough for Miles to hold a fuselage together and stop large trucks. Miles in particular has used it as an electric current for his bio-electricity and electrocuted someone with it.
Vibranium Suit
A fresh suit created for Miles by Black Panther. This was originally made in order to help in combating his vampirism, but it has many benefits for the up and coming Spider-Man. Made of a Vibranium nano-mesh, it is not completely up to par with a Vibranium Iron Man suit, but it is a massive upgrade from the past. It regulates Miles’ bio-electricity, allowing him to consistently use and channel his powers on a much more efficient level, giving him nearly 100% flexibility and control without the worry of burning himself out. Granted this comes with one downfall, in sacrificing a little bit of potency by virtue of having more control.
He even has access to Vibranium webs that can break Deadpool’s swords.
3 Week Old Hamburger
Miles’ puberty cravings helped in stopping God Emperor Doom with this thing. It somehow went for 3 weeks without it ending up being incredibly moldy.
Deku
Costume Zeta
Deku has gone through a multitude of costumes throughout his career, around six of them to be exact. But the one you see here is the latest version. Costume Zeta includes features from a lot of Deku’s previous costumes, which include upgraded Iron Soles and Air Force Gloves. Deku also keeps his damaged mask from the previous costume, as well as the cape of Pro Hero and mentor, Gran Torino, repurposed as a scarf.
Iron Soles
Designed by Mei Hatsume, these support boots played a part in developing Deku’s Shoot Style. Since Shoot Style relies on delivering damaging kicks, the Iron Soles maximize the strength of these kicks. The toes for the Soles here are for when Deku delivers a powerful kick, the Soles receive the impact of said kick and make them spring out in a blowback motion to double the impact, all while lessening the recoil of these kicks to minimize damage on his lower limbs. The Iron Soles are so powerful, they can break through solid rock.
Air Force Gloves
Designed by Mei Hatsume, these support gloves were essential in developing Deku’s Shoot Style. It helps Deku better utilize Delaware Smash, which involves firing wind blasts from his fingers like a bullet. These gloves help in focusing the blasts so Deku can accurately hit his target without using higher OFA percentages.
Full Gauntlet
Created by Melissa Shield, this gauntlet was given to Deku during the events of the Two Heroes movie. It allows Deku to use a 100% One For All Smash without doing damage to his hand. The gauntlet also stabilizes his power when using a Smash that’s less than 100%, allowing for a bit of a power boost while in Full Cowl mode. A drawback to this though is that Deku can only use it for three 100% Smashes before it breaks, so he has to use it wisely. It is worth saying though that it was only ever used in one movie, and destroyed at the end of said movie. Thus it is here more so for completion’s sake rather than actual involvement in the debate.
Mid-Gauntlet
An item from the U.S. Deku got from All Might, Mid-Gauntlet’s are basically a weaker version of the Full Gauntlet. After the left arm one was damaged during Deku’s fight with Lady Nagant, Hatsume was able to create a replica of the Mid-Gauntlets to go with his new Air Force Gloves. Also unlike the Full Gauntlet, Deku also has versions of the Mid-Gauntlet for his legs. Similar to its more powerful version, it reinforces Deku’s limbs, allowing him to safely use One For All without inflicting any damage on himself. This allows Deku to perform stronger attacks at higher percentages of One For All, but he can’t use any 100% attacks, or the gauntlets will shatter.
Abilities
Spider-Man
Spider-Mutate Physiology
Alright let’s do this one last time (until Peter Parker comes back to the show…or Miguel, or Takuya, or-). Spider-Man, as you might have guessed, already can do basically whatever a spider can and thus has a plethora of abilities as a result. Spider-Mutates gain these abilities from being bitten by a special kind of spider that induced mutagenesis, or being born with them because their parent/s were Spider-People (which still doesn’t make them a mutant oddly enough). In any case, Miles was bitten by a special spider carrying the Oz Formula that altered his DNA (this formula also seems to cause a sort of delayed resurrection post-death, granting immortality, but it takes too long and is too inconsistent to be relevant. Miles has also never used this so yeah).
As a result, he has the proportional strength and speed of a spider, allowing him to lift objects several times his own weight, pack a punch much harder than any normal person, and react to incoming danger with extremely fast reflexes. He is also incredibly resistant to injury, being able to keep on fighting even after getting hit by attacks that could kill a normal person. Along with general physical enhancements however, Miles Morales carries a mixture of both classic Spider-Man tools, as well as some distinct ones.
Spider-Sense
Whether it’s traversing through the concrete jungle, fighting super villains, or just having to deal with plain ol’ New Yorkers; Spidey needs a way to navigate around these dangerous threats. Luckily one of his most recognizable abilities does just that. As you just might know already, the Spider-Sense is mainly used as a way for Miles to detect and avoid danger that he can’t see or sense normally. A sixth sense if you will that works on a 360 degree radius. The Spider-Sense can even detect things that are not attacks. Such as the intent of a person, illusions, disturbances in the area around him, mind control, lies, teleporting attacks, people spying on him, how fast a person is moving, and even changes in space-time.
The Spider-Sense is also useful as a radar of sorts, letting Spider-Man scan the room and locate specifics, sort of like a certain someone’s radar sense. He can also reverse this ability to find out where the most danger happens to be. Spider-Man can also use the ability offensively in a way rather than for just defense and scanning, like predicting someone’s movements to land a clean hit. Of course, the sense is not perfect. It has failed to notice enemies under specific conditions (like when Quantum used a mixture of invisibility and distance), too many attacks at a time can overwhelm its capabilities, and there does seem to be a brief window in between a danger presenting itself and being detected which can be exploited (though said window of opportunity is narrow).
Wall Crawling
While often looked over, Spider-Man’s power to stick to surfaces is much more useful than you might think. Spider-Man can make any part of his skin adhesive allowing to stick to anything with ease. He can attach himself to moving vehicles like trains and cars, use it to break his fall, and even use it as a weapon by sticking onto a person and ripping off skin like Kaine Parker does. (Although it’s worth noting Miles has never done this but he should be capable of it)
According to fellow Spider-Man Peter Parker, sticking to surfaces is strictly a conscious act, unlike the Spider-Sense, and it is necessary to actively decide which parts of his body are or are not sticking at a time. In addition, Peter notes that he can cling to nearly any surface; plus, at the time of his explanation, he had never been separated from a surface by force, only ever having a problem if the surface itself ended up breaking.
Camouflage
Sometimes direct conflict isn’t the best way to handle situations. Miles in particular has a few unique abilities that set him apart from the other Spideys, one of which being camouflage. Pretty simply, Miles blends with the environment to hide himself. Notably though this camo does not hide him from being detected by smell, night vision, or experienced enough fighters that can compare him to the environment like Bucky. On a positive note though, while Peter Parker’s Spider-Sense has been shown to be able to sense invisible opponents before, Miles has consistently gotten the jump on him by going invisible, both when they first met and after Secret Wars. Implying the ability can circumvent similar danger senses.
Bio-Electricity
Shocking! Another staple of the Ultimate Spider-Man is his ability to produce and manipulate his very own bio-electricity. While these “Venom Blasts” initially started as delayed shocks to one’s nervous system, Miles has shown to use them to amplify his physical strikes, create bio-electric webbing, and even swords with it. He also doesn’t need to land a direct hit to use its effects, as he can channel them through web-fluid, metal surrounding him, through the air by firing them as energy beams or as big mega blasts. He can even land it while physically paralyzed, so he doesn’t even need to move to properly use it. If he ever finds himself surrounded by tons of enemies, he can even cause an explosive wave of bio-electricity to knock them all out in one go.
These Venom Blasts are also consistently effective at shorting out and making technology explode, though Miles has shown enough control to recharge the batteries of devices without destroying the whole thing. He can also use the Venom Blast to create a fire. On the other hand, Spider-Man can also increase the power of his Venom Blasts, to the point that he could knock out Shift despite him being designed to be immune to them. Though, putting too much energy into a Venom Blast does drain his stamina, with Miles having knocked himself out unleashing too much energy on more than one occasion. There’s also an issue with how the Venom Blast can destroy his webshooters.
The Venom Blast is noted to disrupt a symbiote like Venom’s ability to take form, on top of being really effective on demon physiology for some reason, no we don’t know why.
Venom-Saber
Using energy from his bio-electricity, Miles can form a lightning sword that he uses decently often in his modern appearances. It’s a powerful weapon that this web head has used to easily cut through various things from guns, an Ock limb and turrets. It’s powerful enough to be able to clash against the Prowler’s claws (and later on, defeat him with it) and stop a strike from Venom (the symbiote, not the power, confusing we know) which he compared to a strike from a mountain. It’s been shown to just dust a vampire entirely and it’s a versatile weapon aside from swinging as Miles once stabbed it into the ground to unleash electricity over a big area and of course, it can electrocute someone upon contact.
It’s not without flaws as it does drain his energy the more he uses it, but it’s usually worth the price. Also come on, it’s a cool lightning sword!
Resistances
- Mind Manipulation and Mental Attacks: After being hit by one too many brain blasts by Mentallo, Miles built up an immunity to it to the point it could barely affect him. He’s also able to maintain control over a piece of Carnage taking over his body (though this was retconned out because of miscommunication so oops) and withstand mental attacks from Mindspinner.
- Electrocution: Miles can tank Venom Blasts from his own clones and himself (with a little pain involved) and has walked off multiple static shocks from Electro (both of them), as well as other superhumans.
- Vampirism: The Oz Formula granted 1610 Peter (goat) ‘tainted’ blood which made him immune to vampirism, which should mean Miles has a similar trait to protect him from vampirism (except for the part where he got bit by a super vampire with layered vampirism oops).
- Fear Manipulation: Miles can shrug off being targeted by hallucinations of his worst fears brought to reality.
Deku
One For All
One of the seven great mysteries of the world, the Quirk that was used by the Symbol of Peace, and the Quirk that Deku would be granted in his journey to be a hero. From the perspective of many of Deku’s peers, and even devout admirers of All Might, it simply appears to be a super strength Quirk of absurd proportions. Explaining how All Might managed to achieve so many miraculous feats of raw power. But the true story behind the Quirk goes a little deeper than that.
One For All is a mix between two separate Quirks. One having the ability to stockpile power, allowing one to grow significantly stronger than a normal person over time. The other being a Quirk that could be passed on from user to user, with the strength of the Quirk increasing over time. With these two powers combined, One For All became a Quirk that stocked all of the power of its user, before passing it on and adding all of that power to the next user’s body, and so on. This means that Deku holds in his body the enhanced might of the eight others who possessed the Quirk before him, making him one of the most powerful beings in the entire world.
Deku’s strength, speed and toughness are off the charts, with him being able to easily replicate many of All Might’s own super moves as a result. And while the overwhelming power that One For All gives him was, at first, much more than what his body could reasonably unleash, Deku has found many ways of utilizing the Quirk’s power without severely damaging his own body.
But One For All also had one last trick that no user before Deku had managed to unlock. It wasn’t just the power of the past users that got stockpiled and passed onwards, but their very Quirk Factors as well in the form of Vestiges (with the former Quirks also increasing in power), or copies of their consciousness imprinted onto their Quirks. This grants Deku access to several other Quirks and contact with the Vestiges of the past Users, greatly increasing his powerset and what he’s capable of achieving as a Hero.
Super Moves
Image made by Toxin
What’s a hero without a lot of fancy special attacks that they can call out in the heat of battle? A mix of All Might’s moves and some developed by Deku himself, Midoriya has plenty of signature moves he can utilize in his battles against the forces of evil. While he often delivers these moves one at a time due to their sheer power output, he can also combo multiple moves into each other to deliver quite the blow.
- Detroit Smash: The staple attack of One For All users, a powerful punch that’s capable of blasting through both foes and the environment alike, whether it be through the direct hit or the air force from the strike.
- 5% Detroit Smash: Although there is significantly less energy behind the punch, it’s pretty useful when dealing with weaker enemies while also keeping his own self-damage in check.
- 45% Detroit Smash: A good midpoint for Detroit Smash’s power.
- 100% Detroit Smash: Rather than worry about his own body, he puts 100% of his OFA energy into his arm to deliver a devastating, straightforward punch at his target.
- Detroit Smash Quintuple: By using the below-mentioned Gearshift, Deku unleashes five devastatingly strong Detroit Smashes in an instant. Not only is this a really powerful move, it serves as a quick charge-up for Fa Jin.
- California Smash: While Deku is in midair, he can perform multiple forward-facing somersaults to gain enough momentum to deliver a devastating overhead punch that sends them flying downward.
- Deku has also performed an unnamed variation of the move that ends with an uppercut rather than an overhead punch.
- Carolina Smash: This move is most associated with All Might but Deku has actually used it in the most recent movie. By folding his arms into an X-shape and launching himself forward, Deku can land a double chop attack that deals great damage to the enemy’s chest area.
- Delaware Smash: One of Deku’s first developed moves, where he flicks his fingers to create shockwaves to attack from afar. He can even use his mouth to prepare one of these with his thumb should his other fingers be unavailable.
- Delaware Smash Air Force: With the support of his Air Force Gloves (albeit they’re not entirely needed) and a bit of training, Deku can concentrate his Delaware Smash attacks further and perform five consecutive Delaware Smashes using all of his fingers. These attacks have enough force behind them to where they can stun targets in midair, allowing Deku to follow up with another attack. It also has its uses in mobility as he can fling himself backwards while using a combo of Float and Fa Jin to travel great distances.
- Manchester Smash: By swinging his leg in an axe-kick motion while in the air, it’ll deal great damage to either opponents or the surrounding environment upon landing the kick.
- Faux 100% Manchester Smash: By performing a Manchester Smash while in his Faux 100% form, he is now able to land that same axe kick while travelling at blazing speeds.
- Missouri Smash: Storing OFA energy in his hand allows Deku to deliver a swift and powerful chop.
- Oklahoma Smash: Just like the state’s favorite weather conditions, Deku can spin himself around fast enough to create a tornado-like vortex that sends any nearby enemies flying.
- St. Louis Smash: Once he propels himself off the ground and activates Shoot Style, all of OFA’s energy is focused into Deku’s leg as he deliver a vertical roundhouse kick to the enemy’s face, dealing enough damage to send them flying
- Texas Smash: With a great amount of force focused into his fist, Deku can unleash a punch that releases high wind pressure over a set distance, harshly blowing away anything in its trajectory.
- Wyoming Smash: Once Deku has focused 100% of his power into one of his arms, he can spike a nearby enemy on the head to deal extreme damage and, consequently, cause a large shockwave.
- 1,000,000% Delaware Detroit Smash: A combination of the two titular Smashes delivered with everything Deku has, the Delaware part of the attack creates a devastating shockwave that leaves the opponent wide open to the following Detroit Smash. It’s worth noting the “1,000,000%” part of the name isn’t a literal multiplied factor for the move’s power, and more just another form of a “Go Beyond” statement.
- United States of World Smash: Deku’s Ultimate Move equivalent of All Might’s United States of Smash, where with 100% Full Cowling, Deku unleashes a decisive combination attack involving an incredibly fast volley of punches, followed by swiftly running around his opponent to build up momentum that he uses to unleash the finishing kick.
Air Force
A big part of Deku’s strength thanks to One For All is his ability to produce dangerous shockwaves through the air. Even simply flicking his fingers can create a powerful gust of wind capable of destroying Todoroki’s ice. As time went on these shockwaves became more and more powerful. Going from being able to destroy an entire city block like All Might, to destroying an island sized storm, to overtime dispersing an entire storm that was completely covering Japan and the US (more on all of these feats later).
Gearshift
The quirk that belonged to the 2nd wielder. Gearshift allows Izuku to change the speed of anything he touches at will to the cellular level, including himself. The quirk can work on things as small as daggers, or as large as entire gas clouds. He can accelerate himself up to several times faster than he’s normally capable of (to the point the sounds of his movements are delayed), or stop on a dime, completely ignoring the laws of inertia. Deku has proven himself to be very adept at moving at such high speeds, as he was able to take Shigaraki entirely by surprise to where the villain could hardly track him. He can also affect the speed at which other people move, like when he accelerated Bakugo tremendously in order to save All Might.
However, despite this quirk’s strengths, it does have a critical weakness. He can only use the quirk for up to 5 minutes at a time, with the ending of the five minute usage window being followed by him being extremely out of breath and unable to act temporarily. Such as when he used the quirk against Shigaraki, intending to end the fight with it. After Shigaraki got back up, Deku was unable to do anything but attempt to stall for time. He was able to reuse the power later after the recoil wore off.
Fa Jin
The 3rd wielder’s Quirk, Fa Jin builds up kinetic energy by doing repeated movements, like the squats you see here, allowing Deku to store it up for later use. This energy can be filled up by running, punching, flying, and so on, with high speed movements courtesy of Quirks like One For All or Gearshift helping this build up further. When unleashed, it can enhance strikes or movement speed. Deku can only use some stored energy at a time, which means he can only use the Quirk in short bursts.
It can even be used in conjunction with other quirks, like when Deku used both Fa Jin and Blackwhip to capture multiple opponents at once in a chain. Though a bit of a drawback to this is that Deku has to fully charge the kinetic energy. The results may be more underpowered if his movement options are limited and he doesn’t have a good chance to build up force.
Danger Sense
(“I can’t believe I’m Spider-Man!”)
The 4th wielder’s Quirk, Danger Sense gives Deku an alarm whenever danger is sensed. On paper this gives Midoriya a notice to let him know when an attack is directed at him, but it’s actually more complex than that. It acts like an alarm, sure, but the power also gives a sort of precognition. Letting him know both that an attack is coming, but also where it’s coming from and at what speed, basically enabling a perfect dodge and an immunity to sneak attacks regardless of direction.
Through this, Danger Sense has been able to do things like track enemies in smoke clouds despite the lack of sight. The ability is not perfect though, as it will not react if the opponent produces no dangerous intent (even if they’re swinging a knife, yes Toga is insane), and it has been countered in the past by some clever misdirection by none other than Midoriya himself.
Black Whip
(“I can’t believe I’m Spider-Man!” 2)
The first secret Quirk Midoriya inherited from the previous users of One For All, being from the 5th user. Black Whip works as a series of tendrils Deku can shoot out of his arms or body (or tongue) for various purposes. Of course, he can go full Spider-Man (hey, irony) and swing around the battlefield, but the applications are more versatile than that.
In combat, Black Whip works well as a way to grapple or bind opponents, flinging them around or limiting their movement to leave them open to a strong attack. He can also slam the tendrils into people, or even move them fast enough to slice off the fingers of someone as tough as Shigaraki. This toughness of the tendrils can also let them be used as a shield, or even as a sort of reinforcement for Deku’s muscles and body. More on that specifically later.
Smokescreen
The 6th wielder’s Quirk, Smokescreen gives Deku the ability to create a thick cloud of purple smoke that envelops the area around them. This can help Deku in obscuring the vision of his opponent and can catch them by surprise, as well as being useful in an escape. Although it has no offensive capabilities; and if too much smoke is released, even Deku can have difficulty in navigating through the cloud (unless he uses Danger Sense). It also doesn’t spread far in specific weather conditions like rain, and it can easily be dissipated under a devastating blow, like a shockwave.
Float
The Quirk inherited from the 7th user, being All Might’s master Nana Shimura. The power is rather simple, allowing Deku to hover in the air for extended periods of time, as well as propel himself towards different directions. To put it simply, it’s flight. Though Midoriya can combine it with other Quirks like Black Whip or Fa Jin to propel himself far faster than normal.
Quirk Combos
As explained before in the Experience & Skill section, Deku is a genius when it comes to using quirks together for big strategies. Notably though he’s also capable of combining quirks outright for new effects. He can use Fa Jin and Black Whip to propel Float, specifically Fa Jin with Black Whip to enhance it for a devastating Black Chain, or even combine different quirks with One For All for distinct forms (more on those later).
Quirk Transferring Attacks
One For All’s ability to transfer itself from one person to another is typically a more long-term ability meant for developing a successor. However proper application can allow this property to actually be harmful to the target. By landing a blow that transmits part of the wielder’s DNA to the target, Deku can send the specific Vestiges of the One For All users into his opponent’s body. The users will then shatter on contact with the victim’s very soul, doing severe bodily damage as a result while also killing the Vestige to prevent the enemy from utilizing the transmitted Quirk.
Midoriya can send either one or all of the Vestiges within himself at once, depending on how much damage he wants to do. To be clear, this attack requires a clear way to transmit some form of DNA. Midoriya specifically did this by having blood on his fist go into Shigaraki’s body, as he was able to open a wound and deliver his blood in the span of one attack. As potent as this method is though, there are major drawbacks. Using the method at all requires sacrificing the Vestiges, and therefore losing access to whatever Quirk is correlated to the given up Vestige. This can get rid of problems like the recoil of Gearshift, but still means losing a useful ability. This is especially true if One For All itself is passed on and destroyed.
It should be noted however that this ability is an absolute last resort option. Izuku Midoriya adores the gift One For All was, and therefore the prospect of sacrificing it is brutal to accept. And again, using the attacking method means losing useful Quirk abilities, with the strongest variant involving the transfer of One For All meaning the loss of Deku’s main power. Though on that note, if he does lose One For All, Midoriya will still be kept with some of the power through the embers of the Quirk. Still capable of course, but to a far lesser extent.
Resistances
- Mind Manipulation: Deku is shown to have resisted Shinso’s brainwashing Quirk commands thanks to the help of the Vestiges of One For All.
- Power Stealing & Soul Targeting: The Vestiges of the One For All Quirk once shielded Deku’s Vestige from getting his Quirk stolen by Shigaraki and the Vestige of All For One. The Vestiges are of spiritual nature (more on this later) and Deku’s Vestige represents his soul. Considering the confrontation ended with All For One and Shigaraki being pushed out of Midoriya’s mental world, it would make sense that similar attacks against Deku’s spirit could be thwarted by the Vestiges.
- Extreme Pain: Even early in his career, Deku has shown to have a high pain tolerance when parts of his body get broken. Like in his fight with Shoto, where he pushed through getting his fingers broken. There’s also him continuing to go on fighting for a while even with broken arms and blood loss, and don’t even get us started on the final fight with Shigaraki’s everything.
- Extreme Temperatures: During his fight with Todoroki, Deku toughed out Shoto’s fire and ice, even having his arm frozen by Shoto.
- Electrocution: Was able to stand back up after a lightning blast from Nine, which was literal cloud to ground. For reference, an average lightning strike has a voltage of 300 million volts. Also tanked Kaminari’s Electricity without issue, which is impressive considering he can reach 1.3 million volts.
- Shigaraki was also able to endure an electric shock that specifically temporarily shut off his nerves, with it being mentioned that the reason he could shrug it off was due to being superhuman. This could imply this resistance is something someone as potent as Deku could replicate, though the resistance could also be due to Shigaraki’s ludicrous physiology being very advanced apart from his quirks.
Forms
Spider-Man
Miles Maxed / “Max Power”
This is a form Miles takes when he stops holding back. In this super charged state, Miles’s bio-electricity is greatly amplified and his suit glows yellow. This allows him to unleash powerful venom blasts that can do immense damage to enemies. His venom constructs are also more powerful. This form is strong enough to fight and defeat Greek Demigods like Zig. Miles’ preferred finishing move while empowered is a straight forward electric jab like the Chidori from Naruto. According to the Vulture, Miles is faster than Peter in this state, and a single hit was enough to break one of Vulture’s ribs. However, enough damage can make Miles leave this form for the rest of the fight.
Spider-Cube
Guys it’s been years since we heard anything from Insomniac, please tell me they’re still alive.
Deku
One For All: Full Cowling
While training with Gran Torino, Deku struggled trying to land a hit on him. This is when Deku learned that he was overexerting his energy into specific limbs for attacks that would damage himself. That is until after microwaving Taiyaki, Deku got an idea for a form that would minimize damage on his own body while dealing powerful blows, Full Cowling, a form that evenly spreads the power of One For All across the entire body. In this state, besides the enhanced strength, Deku’s reflexes and maneuverability also gain a bit of a boost, which can help in clearing large jumps or scaling buildings. Initially, Deku only could utilize 5% of Full Cowling’s power, but it eventually boosted up to 8% after coming up with Shoot Style, then to 20%, 30%, and finally 100%.
Faux 100 Percent
To avoid putting too much stress on his body, Midoriya utilized the Fa Jin Quirk’s kinetic energy build up in conjunction with 45% of One For All’s power to mimic the effect of 100% Full Cowling. Hence the name, Faux. This state can only be used in short bursts due to the necessary energy build up, but with it Deku can utilize power equivalent to 100% of One For All without drawbacks.
Gearshift Overdrive
Izuku Midoriya’s full power, and the result of all of his Quirks working in perfect symphony, Overdrive is truly something to behold. In this state, Deku uses the Gearshift Quirk on himself, massively amplifying his speed to the point a Prime All Might level Shigaraki (possessed by All For One, long story) could not keep track of him whatsoever. Deku’s speed can additionally be slowed down to a crawl in an instant, letting him pull off deadly feints to trick opponents.
What makes this state so dangerous is not speed however, as Gearshift works in tandem with Fa Jin to boost the amount of kinetic energy Deku produces to the extreme. This allows Deku to operate at a level equivalent to 120% of One For All’s power, without even using 100% of One For All. The enhancement can even go far enough to where Deku can use the Detroit Smash Quintuple, which involves the weight of five speed boosted Detroit Smashes being dealt in quick succession. Approaches like this are especially dangerous, as they can allow for Fa Jin to be recharged nearly instantly.
The form is not perfect however. Due to Gearshift’s power building up over the years, Deku can only use the Overdrive state for about five minutes before suffering massive recoil that makes it nearly impossible to breath. Because of this, the form can only be used about twice in an extended fight before the recoil becomes too big of a deal for Gearshift to be reused.
Overlay
The epitome of Izuku Midoriya’s undying will to win the way he wants to win, Overlay is a controlled version of Deku’s previously haphazard raging state (with it being stated to be the same form by Yaoyorozu). Through control of his emotions and a locked in desire for victory, Midoriya was able to keep the form in check and thus utilize it properly. Despite the monstrous appearance created by having Blackwhip spread throughout his body and under his skin, Blackwhip is very crucial here. It lets Deku keep his body moving, even when things like the recoil from Gearshift immobilize him. It also serves as a way for him to apply other quirks like Fa Jin and Smokescreen, which makes sense considering how the form is the perfect embodiment of Deku’s mastery of quirks.
He can manually flex his muscles inside of his body to power up Fa Jin, to the point where a sufficiently charged up attack is implied to be able to one shot Shigaraki (with a less charged up one being able to cleanly cut off his hand). The tendrils on his back additionally work for amplifying movement and giving even more attack options. Safe to say, the form can do a lot, and serves as the best usage of One For All.
Support
Spider-Man
Anansi
While attempting to find out a cure for his vampirism alongside the Black Panther, Miles wound up discovering an aspect of his powers that he could have never seen coming. As Spider-Man, Miles is a herald of the great Kwaku Anansi, the Great Spider-God and the first Spider-Man to ever exist. Anansi’s power was capable of fully exorcising the curse of Varnae that turned Miles into a vampire, and afterwards, he began to follow Miles around, reading his thoughts and witnessing his adventures firsthand. While Anansi will occasionally give Miles advice and warn him of incoming dangers, he has a very hands-off approach, preferring to see what Miles can come up with and achieve on his own, as Anansi believes that that will result in better stories.
Deku
Vestiges of One For All
Alongside the Quirks of the One For All wielders, “Vestiges” of their original selves were carried onward as spiritual copies of their consciousnesses attached to their respective Quirks. Acting as spirits within Deku willing to help him in any way possible. This group consists of wielders one through seven of One For All, as well as a sort of mute hazy copy of All Might. While none of them are as strategic as Deku himself, they still are helpful as a guiding voice; keeping him on track and aware of issues during fights where Midoriya has a lot of other things to think about.
As for more direct action, they are capable of defending Deku’s own Vestige from foreign spiritual invasion and expelling invading spiritual forces, as seen when Shigaraki and All For One tried to steal One For All. Spirit based interactions in general is something they’re useful for, like how they interacted with and warned Deku’s spirit about him and Class 1-A being trapped in an illusion world. They additionally work against simpler mental attacks, given how they disabled Shinso’s brainwashing as mentioned previously.

- This feat has varied a lot over the years, with some calculation ends like the one Death Battle has used recently getting as high as 80 teratons for Deku and Bakugo each. It is notable that that version is explicitly a high end though, and the 2.86 Teraton calculation presented above is what we’re more comfortable with using.
- An all out kick from Deku single handedly split Dark Might’s city-sized fortress in half (25.14 Gigatons)
- His final Smash attack against All For One split clouds over Japan, and produced worldwide winds in the process, all while he was running on mere embers of One For All (11.74 Teratons)
- There is a heavy amount of debate and context in regards to this feat, even more than the above dual Detroit Smash. It is completely possible that the feat can be both lower and higher, so do keep that in mind

Spider-Man
Having the proportionate power and speed of a spider (or however jacked a radioactive spider is), Spider-Man naturally reaches comparable levels to various other Spider-Totems, such as the Peter Parkers of his original and current Earths, along with interdimensional visitors like Gwen Stacy and Miguel O’Hara. This, in turn, puts him on a comparable level to various Spider-Man rogues, with Miles regularly contending with Goblins, Symbiotes, and nearly everything in-between. And naturally, his superhuman physique puts him at a level beyond any peak human street tier characters, along with several other superhumans such as Wolverine that Spider-Men have regularly proven to be physically better than.
Spider-Man (Peter Parker)
- Once lifted up the weight of an entire building
- Kicked the crap out of Superior Spider-Man
- Dodged microwave blasts
- Dodged Lightmaster’s light beams (take a guess)
- Kept up with the Dazzler, who can move at the speed of light
- Ben, his clone, also managed to save an old lady from moon rocks after the moon exploded that arrived on Earth in only a moment (28.7% Speed of Light)
Spider-Verse
- Ultimate Peter Parker was hit by an enormous explosion and survived (albeit getting knocked out for days)
- Kaine dodged blasts from Sun Girl, who has light-generating technology she uses for her lasers
- Kaine has also punched Venom’s tongue off with ease (holy shit)
- Kaine also states he’s faster than Wolverine
- Spider-Man 2099 once caught Mjolnir moving at Mach 2000 speeds
- Ghost-Spider could effortlessly dodge lightning from an alternate Electro
- Insomniac’s version of Miles, AKA Earth-1048’s, absorbed the energy of a Nuform reactor that would have vaporized Harlem with an explosion that Miles survived. (55 Megatons of TNT)
- Earth-1048 Miles can also turn parts of a giant Sandman into glass (749.8 Tons of TNT)
Spider-Man’s Rogues
- Ultimate Taskmaster can shrug off giant explosions
- Carnage can tank hits from two missiles
- Rhino punches Nova into orbit
- Kingpin can punch Spider-Man through a wall
- Electro creates a blast that destroys Ryker’s walls and causes a blackout
- Ultimate Green Goblin is blasted by a missile into two fighter jets, creating a massive explosion and survives
- Frost Pharoah froze an entire dumpster (woah!)
- Selim and Mindspinner going all out caused a giant electrical explosion that resulted in both of their deaths
- Rhizome threatened to break apart buildings while in the process of wrecking one
- Hobgoblin survives being left in this massive explosion
Miscellaneous Heroes
- Hawkeye and Black Panther both reacted to a falling girder within a microsecond (Mach 9029)
- Moon Knight reacted to lasers fast enough to deflect one of them from the Master of Illumination (44.2% Speed of Light)
- Cyclops once redirected his laser beam from eyes within a nanosecond (3.3x FTL, keep in mind it could just be hyperbole)
- Logan himself has dodged and reacted to Cyclops’ laser beams which are able to move at lightspeed (1.49x Speed of Light)
- Wolverine can also knock down Domina, who’s stated to be able to literally move mountains (1.615 Kilotons of TNT)
- Wolverine once again can take hits from the Black Shadow, a mutant superpower that can annihilate entire city blocks (140.74 – 465.6 tons of TNT)
- Deadpool got punched REALLY hard that it caused an island sized explosion (182.1 – 849.6 tons of TNT)
- The Punisher can take hits from Shocker who can create 10 mile long earthquakes (924 tons of TNT)
Early Iron Man Armors (Debatable)
Please read before automatically assuming Spider-Man scales to this.
Miles has broken Hydra Cap’s shield with a punch, which took hits from an Iron Man suit. Peter has also done severe damage to Arno Stark’s armor as well and he even broke Iron Man’s grip once, so there’s a grounds to scaling. However, it should be noted that Arno’s power source does fluctuate, so the scaling might not be entirely consistent. Also even Hydra Cap’s shield has taken hits from Hercules when he’s ‘lost control’, so this is possibly an outlier. Still, for the benefit of the doubt, we’ll allow Spider-Man with high leniency to scale to the following feats:
- Iron Man Model IV took a direct hit from the Mandarin that can create an earthquake that was felt for 7000 miles. (42.502 Megatons of TNT)
- The Silver Centurion destroyed a mountain the size of Manhattan (179.8 megatons – 1 gigaton of TNT)
Deku
It’s pretty clear to say that Izuku Midoriya should outright be at the top of his verse stats wise. One For All developing over generations should mean that with 100% Full Cowling, Deku would already be the strongest user the Quirk has ever seen. Not even mentioning additional buffs from Fajin or Gear Shift. This is consistent with him being physically superior to a Shigaraki who was stated to be equal to Prime All Might. For reference, All For One, someone who literally got their face punched off by an injured Prime All Might, once went on a gauntlet of fighting top heroes. Matching Endeavor despite his injured and old state, and then proceeding to wipe the floor with several high tier characters like Gigantomachia, a full-power Tokoyami and Dark Shadow, and Hawks when it came to strength and speed. Considering that Midoriya at his peaks is far above someone like All For One, and remembering the points made about One For All’s growth, there should not need to be any special justification for scaling Deku to any feat in the verse.
Toshinori Yagi – All Might
- While in disguise, levels a huge chunk of the Ruins area in the USJ

- Reacted to her own laser which Shigaraki had reflected back at her (0.613c)
- Split a big portion of clouds with “Fist Bump to the Earth”

- Notably, it was stated the force of the missiles almost tore her arm off alone, and at the time it was assumed that if Shigaraki was hit with the full force of the attack, it would have killed him. However, considering that later on, Shigaraki is stated to be beyond anything humanity can contend with, scaling for end of series Shigaraki and Deku should be fine.

- Despite being majorly damaged, high-ends can survive being near the center of an explosion that was using the power of ten intercontinental missiles at once
Weaknesses
Spider-Man
While Miles’ unique abilities given him plenty of options that Peter doesn’t, they’re reliant on Miles’ stamina being high enough to actively maintain them, with Spidey having multiple instances where he can’t use his powers because of being too damaged or tired, or running on empty with Venom Blast’s energy. His bio-electricity in particular can greatly use up whatever energy reserves he has, to the point that he’s knocked himself out on multiple occasions purely by using it to a strong enough degree (though the Vibranium Suit works to counteract this to an extent). Additionally, while his camouflage can get around some sensors, night vision can still detect him, and experienced fighters like the original Spider-Man and Winter Soldier have been able to tell where he is off the environment or their experience with invisible foes.
Also he doesn’t mute his phone on stealth missions.
Deku
Only frycook joke in this entire blog.
Despite his versatility and impressive strategic talent, Deku is by no means a perfect fighter. He has a tendency to rush into situations somewhat, and is willing to endure major injuries to win a fight. This can be problematic in more drawn out encounters despite his phenomenal tenacity. Additionally, while the problem has definitely lessened as time has gone on, using higher percentages of One For All can cause notable recoil damage. Using a raw 100% punch or a “Plus Ultra” kind of attack will not break his bones, and it definitely won’t kill him or anything smh, but it will still slightly damage him and put him on a timer if he does not use his other methods of matching 100% power to mitigate it like Fa Jin and Gearshift. With those powers additionally having their own problems with necessary charge up and post-usage recoil respectively.

Miscellaneous High-End
Spider-Man Feats
It’s no real secret that thanks to a variety of factors ranging from his mascot status and comic writers simply not (understandably) caring about power scaling, that Spider-Men sometimes can have much MUCH higher scale feats then what is usually seen for them and the characters they surround themselves with. While some of these feats are obvious silly outliers and or have much needed context, there are a select few feats one can point to as arguments for higher Spider-Man scaling, with this section being dedicated to going over why these shouldn’t work out in the grand scheme of things.
Peter Withstanding an
Exajoule Worth of Energy
During a big vampire invasion, Peter Parker was blasted by a scepter that was stated on the same page to be capable of outputting an astronomical amount of energy for a separate plan, with said plan requiring at least one exajoule’s worth of energy. An exajoule is 1e18 joules or 239 Megatons of TNT, so this’d mean he’d be taking a large city level blast… right? Well, while Peter did survive the blast, it still nearly knocked him out and it was stated that further attacks would end up killing him. It is also unlikely that he was being hit with a full exajoule’s worth of energy here anyways, as the attack was more of a warning shot to both shut Peter up and speed up the development of an anti-human device.
Chernobyl’s Orbit Explosion
One of the more interesting feats found in regards to higher Spider-Man scaling is the villain Chernobyl, a super soldier infused with an exoskeleton capable of firing blasts of pure energy from his hands. During a confrontation with Miguel O’Hara (Spider-Man 2099), Chernobyl’s exoskeleton would be damaged severely enough that it began overheating heavily, to the point that it would cause an explosion with a radius of 1000 kilometers. After a speech from Miguel, Chernobyl would decide to fly himself into earth’s atmosphere so as to prevent the loss of any innocent lives and maybe save his own. Upon reaching high enough into the atmosphere, Chernobyl would combust in a massive explosion and seemingly be gone for good… until the end of the comic reveals he survived the explosion and had become a being of pure energy.
Calculations for this explosion can reach all the way up to 45.55 Teratons of TNT. An obviously obscenely high jump in stats from the usual norm for Spider-Men, and it is even a villain a Spider-Man has directly fought. Alas, the arguments for Spider-Men scaling to this are extremely shaky and don’t pan out overall. While Miguel was easily destroying Chernobyl for most of this comic, nothing insinuates that Miguel should scale to the explosion itself, especially considering Miguel includes himself in the amount of people who could be destroyed by the explosion. Next, Chernobyl’s explosion is explicitly stated to be a chain reaction caused by Miguel’s damaging of his exoskeleton, making Chernobyl lose control of his powers and begin rapidly overheating to the point it causes an explosion far above what he’s normally capable of. Finally, while Chernobyl did technically ‘survive’, he’s shown to do so as a being of pure energy rather than walking out with his regular body, which would imply his normal body wasn’t strong enough to take it.
If there was a brief panel or moment of Miguel or even a character close to Miguel’s level facing off against Chernobyl after this explosion, there would be ways to try and argue Spider-Man scaling to this explosion, but Chernobyl simply never appears after this issue, so he never gives that moment. Ultimately, there just isn’t enough evidence to argue Miguel should scale to it, and if anything there’s more evidence to suggest he wouldn’t survive it then there is to survive he would.
A Thousand Electros
Affecting the Web of Life
During a Spider-Verse event, the Web of Life would be in danger due to an alternate version of Harry Osborn threatening it and thus all of reality. To counter this, Spider-Punk and Ghost-Spider played an amp powered by “like a thousand Electros” to shake the entire web of life, therefore removing Harry from it and saving existence. The push for this feat comes from the electric discharge that seemed to be created by the Electros, with the result being divided by a thousand as Miles would obviously be comparable to a single version of Electro. The issue is the actual result of the calculation doesn’t matter, because the electrical energy produced was enough to shake the entire Web of Life which upholds the multiverse. So unfortunately, the feat is actually a very clear outlier that cannot be used due to actually being a straight up cosmic feat rather than something calculable.
Symbiote Dragons Speed
This argument has been brought up a fair bit in some circles throughout the waiting period and it (along with several other street tier feats) was actually discussed previously in the Catwoman VS Black Cat blog (you might have to do some scrolling, as it is a fairly meaty and in-depth blog!)
Venom Blast Misconceptions
Since this episode’s announcement, there’s been several claims made regarding the effectiveness of Spider-Man’s Venom Blast, and how feasible it’d be as a potential one-shot option regardless of any given stats. Some of said claims have led to a fair amount of misconceptions, which will be addressed here.
First, regarding it being more effective on genetically altered opponents, Spider-Man’s fight with Ultimate Green Goblin had Miles’ bio-electricity heavily affect Norman due to his biology being as messed up as it is. This allowed Spider-Man to deal significant damage to him and transform him back to human back and forth during their fight, which is definitely notable…especially since it’s the only time Venom Blast has ever acted like this.
During every other usage against superhuman characters, whether it be Spidey’s other rogues, fellow Spider-Men (including Ultimate Peter issues prior to the Goblin fight, who had the same Oz Formula Norman did), or even Ultimate Green Goblin himself when they fought post-Secret Wars, Venom Blast has never been shown to be nearly as effective to the same degree. Truthfully, the idea of it working especially well on all superhuman opponents isn’t really a precedent set by the Goblin fight (let alone it disabling powers for a more extreme argument), just that Goblin’s own biology was screwed up enough that it was affected more severely, which presumably stopped being a factor once he started taking dozens of Venom Blasts head on fighting Spider-Man on Earth-616, even getting hit by one meant to kill him (literally grabbed him by the skull and zapped him) and getting up pages later.
And that last bit is also important for the most common and egregious misconception about Venom Blasts: Their ability to bypass durability by targeting organs regardless of a stat gap. The closest thing to anything resembling this happening is a random henchman getting zapped by a Venom Blast in the back half of Bendis’ run, and Hammerhead thinking he was having a heart attack over it at a glance before realizing that Spider-Man had shocked him.
That’s it.
There are no instances before or after this issue, which itself isn’t even an actual showing of what’s being argued, that suggest that Spider-Man is capable of directly targeting organs like that. It affects the nervous system, but lightning does that in general, it is not a specific ability unique to Miles’ own bio-electricity. Even when the Venom Blast is used with lethal intent, such as the aforementioned instance of Miles attempting to kill Ultimate Norman (it was justified dw about it) or Miles’ clones using their own, it hasn’t done anything like frying Osborn’s brain, it just worked exactly as it does everywhere else.
Ironically, the closest thing to Venom Blast working to that extent is Insomniac’s Miles using his bio-electricity to restart Harry’s heart after it flatlined. But not only is that still not using that offensively, that’s an ability only Insomniac’s Miles has done, with Harlem’s Spider-Man having far stronger uses of his bio-electricity in general (passive electricity absorption, effectively fighting like Cole MacGrath half the time lol) than his comic book counterpart.
Lastly, a lot of arguments that are made for Venom Blast pushing above his paygrade are lacking context. Blackheart? Demon physiology is specifically weak to Venom Blast, which is spelled out by Spider-Man the same panels he’s doing it. Grendel? Also weak to lightning due to Thor cutting Knull off from his hivemind, to the point that Dark Carnage is temporarily taken out by the third rail of a subway later in Absolute Carnage. Vision? An android taking the “fucks up technology” powers, still the same weakness issues. Fin Fang Foom? From a Gwenpool holiday special that has Galactus take the role of Santa, it’s a joke comic that should not take precedence over the numerous times it’s been used on Spider-Man tier characters and not instantly KO’d them.
In short, while Spider-Man’s Venom Blast is his signature move and one of his strongest, it’s not the instant win option that it’s sometimes touted as, with its effectiveness being measured by both Spider-Man’s own power and Izuku’s resistances (or lack-thereof) to electricity. Both of which are more fitting for the verdict(s).

Verdict
Stats
Starting with the young Spider-Man’s raw power, Miles’ standing as a Spidey naturally gets him above a low of lower level Marvel heroes like the Punisher or Wolverine. The former could take Shocker’s earthquake starting shockwaves (924 Tons), and the latter could contend with mountain moving mutants (1.615 Kilotons of TNT). Skipping to the good stuff though, Miles should be comparable to alternate Spider-Men (or women, depending on the universe) like his universe 1048 version, who was able to contain an explosion strong enough to vaporize the entirety of Harlem (55 Megatons). On this note, you could potentially scale Spidey to feats performed by some lower level Iron Man armors, with the main suit in regards to this topic being the Mark 4 armors. Including this would give Miles another megaton feat to scale to with the Mark 4 surviving an absurd earthquake caused by Mandarin (42.502 Megatons), and most notably, scaling to the Silver Centurion destroying a Manhattan sized mountain (178.9 Megatons to 1 Gigaton). Again, using this scaling for Spider-Man is generous, but let’s go with the benefit of the doubt.
Moving onto Deku, being the top dog in My Hero Academia naturally allows him to scale to all sorts of feats. You have your more earlier Megaton feats like Todoroki’s Heaven Piercing Ice Wall (10 to 49 Megatons) or Midoriya and All Might breaking Wolfram’s giant steel cube (87.1 Megatons). There are also multiple clear gigaton feats, like Midoriya’s kick splitting Dark Might’s fortress in two (25.14 Gigatons) or Shigaraki surviving Star and Stripe’s cloud splitting thunder clap (4.393 Gigatons). These feats alone are notable in that they would already be enough to beat Spider-Man’s high end argument in the form of the Silver Centurion’s at most 1 Gigaton mountain bust. Add on feats like Deku’s 2.86 teraton share of destroying Nine’s storm, Star and Stripe’s 7.912 Teraton nuke punch, and Deku’s 11.74 Teraton final smash? The gap in power is pretty clear. For reference, the lowest Teraton feat here in the storm punch is over 2,860 times stronger than Spidey’s best possible argument. Deku cleanly takes power here.
How does Deku compare to Spidey in speed however? In this regard, the two heroes are a lot more even. Fellow Marvel heroes like Ben Reilly have dodged meteors from the moon (28.7% C), and even lower tier ones like Moon Knight have dodged lasers (44.2% C). This safely gets Miles into the relativistic range, and it is notable that Spider-Totems like Miles are noticeably faster than miscellaneous heroes like Moon Knight. This upscaling is especially notable when looking at a hero like Logan blocking a light speed optic blast from Cyclops (1.49 C). All of this is made more consistent when considering miscellaneous feats Peter Parker has done, like keeping up with the light speed Dazzler or dodging microwave beams. In contrast, My Hero Academia does manage to have comparable relativistic feats. This includes All Might dodging a laser from his own tech (0.63% C), Star & Stripe catching her redirected laser (0.613% C), and a high-end Nomu dodging a laser from a laser focused hero (0.73% C).
Notably Deku doesn’t have scaling to a clean feat that gets past light speed like Spidey, but he notably should upscale the mentioned feats a lot more. All the feats listed above were done by characters that would be blitzed by a Prime All Might level fighter, who Deku would go on to blitz himself when he fought Shigaraki in the flying coffin. Thus it is safe to say that he upscales his feats enough to both match Miles’ best as well as match his own upscaling, resulting in speed likely being relative to the point where neither has an advantage in the field that would mean much.
As a final note before moving on, it is worth addressing that both have arguments for scaling to even higher speed feats than the ones just mentioned. First for Spider-Man, Cyclops has a statement regarding him changing the course of his optic blast in the span of a nanosecond. Pulling a move like this in that brief of a moment of time would require speeds equivalent to 3.3C, which is notably above other speed feats Miles could scale to. The issue is that the statement could be seen as hyperbole, as the wording could just be exemplifying just how suddenly Cyclops made the change in direction rather than being literal. For Deku, you could argue that Jiro intercepted a radio wave attack from All For One, which can be calculated to over 60 times light speed. The issue with this one is that the radio wave attack seemed to have been mixed with the Air Cannon Quirk, which would mean that air would be weighing down the radio wave and thus preventing it from reaching light speed. Technically speaking if both arguments were to be used, Midoriya would be much faster than Miles. However neither is being considered due to problems with each feat.
Arsenal & Abilities
Spider-Man may have the disadvantage in power, but considering his matching speed, there is the chance that his arsenal and abilities could change the tide. And to be fair, Miles does have some legitimately good advantages in this category. While both have very useful alarm senses to counter incoming dangers, the Spider-Sense is far more versatile overall than Danger Sense. Both can detect attacks and track enemies, but the Spider-Sense also can scan surroundings completely to pick up on all the details, locate enemies even before they attack, and help predict enemy movements to put Spider-Man on the offensive rather than just the defensive. Adding onto this, Miles’ invisibility can outright bypass super senses similar to the Spider-Sense, meaning he has a method to avoid the benefits of Danger Sense outright. With the Spider-Sense letting him fight without sight, this also counters Smokescreen too.
Webs also have some advantages over an ability like Blackwhip, considering how Miles can detach himself from them and use them to form far more varied constructs. The Vibranium Suit acts as the cherry on top, being a full body armor that offers more benefits to Miles than Midoriya’s hero costume with its power output management and full body coverage. With all this being said, Spidey definitely has some good advantages when it comes to this category… but not enough to tip the scales.
For starters, while Danger Sense can be countered by Miles’ camo, it is not like Miles can go entire fights spamming the invisibility. Sufficient damage or prolonged combat can tire him out to the point where it is difficult to use multiple or even one power at once, and this problem only gets worse with power overuse. Thus while Spidey’s camo is a good counter to Danger Sense, it cannot last forever. And while webbing does have some more defensive and tactical advantages compared to Blackwhip, Blackwhip is a FAR better ability offensively. With its powerful grapples, dangerous cutting, or the fact Deku can shoot out several tendrils at once to rip apart enemies, Blackwhip has no shortage of ways to constantly threaten the enemy. This threat is even greater with Fa Jin amplifying it into Black Chain, and the ability is especially notable with how many attacks it allows Deku to shoot out at once. The Spider-Sense, as capable as it is, can be overwhelmed by fast and plentiful enough attacks, which means that the pressure of a move like Black Whip is especially dangerous.
On that note, Fa Jin itself is also a very useful ability for sudden power ups to throw Spider-Man off, especially given that Miles not being able to threaten Midoriya much means that he will definitely be able to find easy opportunities for building up kinetic energy. This build up is also easier given Gearshift, which is a massively powerful ability that Miles does not have a solid counter against. Setting aside Deku’s speed increase, him being able to constantly shift between speeds makes him very hard to predict even with the Spider-Sense helping Spidey out. If anything, Spider-Man having to keep track of speed alterations and constant attacks would make the Spider-Sense be overwhelmed even further, further opening Deku’s windows of opportunity to land massive hits.
It also helps on this note that Deku definitely has the range advantage. While Blackwhip can’t detach from him to max range like Spidey with webs, Deku’s various air shockwave attacks are a very different story. They are both far stronger, larger, faster, and able to attack from a larger distance than Spidey’s projectile options, would they be webs or his main attacking power in the form of his Venom Blasts. Deku having a super strong ranged option in general is super useful against Spidey on that note, given that it avoids the entire Venom Blast on contact issue. Though given Deku has shrugged off electrical attacks in the past like from Kaminari or Nine’s lightning, it stands to reason he could shrug off Venom Blast attacks anyways; would they be Miles landing hits or causing recoil damage from Midoriya coming into contact with him at all.
Superior mobility would give Deku the choice on whether he wants to engage in as well. He has some amplifications and similar web-swinging with Blackwhip that would already help, but Float is the nail in the coffin here with it letting Deku float (crazy) 24/7. That combined with Fa Jin letting him fly around, with Blackwhip and Gearshift allowing for crazy shifts in direction in speed. Take that in conjunction with the amount of attacks he can throw out, the danger in his offensive options, his superior range, and the usefulness of his own powers? Spider-Man is not going to be able to hold him back for long before taking too nasty of a hit.
Sure, Spider-Man does have some ways to hold Deku back with his super sense, invisibility, and special suit, but these options can only do so much. The Spider-Sense can be overwhelmed, the invisibility is not a permanent solution, and while impressive the Vibranium Suit is explicitly not on the level of cosmic powers. It is made of a Vibranium nano mesh and is weaker than Black Panther’s own armor, with Miles still being hurt by ordinary attacks that aren’t above his weight class like when he fought Deadpool’s daughter Ellie. Clearly implying that it is not meant to push Miles so far past his normal durability to where Midoriya cannot still punch right through it. It’s a good race and Spidey certainly has some good tools here, but Deku definitely has a narrow edge in powers.
This all being said, it is fair to think that factors like the camouflage or Spider-Sense would throw Deku off. However, that is where our next section comes into play to cement Deku’s winning points. Before going into that, one quick note to mention is in regard to the Quirk Transferring Attacks. Simply put, Spider-Man does not really have a defense against them. Anansi could theoretically intervene based on how he has interacted with Miles before, but considering his desire to involve himself minimally in Miles’ stories it is unlikely. On that note it is just as unlikely Deku would use the attack anyways though. He is already hitting Spidey with enough force to kill him with normal attacks anyways, so he would never resort to the attacking method due to never needing to. So the attack is more of a non-factor in this debate anyways.
Tertiary Factors
Let’s start with positives for Spider-Man again. While both characters have faced a lot of diverse enemies, it is notable that Miles has been doing active hero work for far longer than Midoriya has been doing hero study. To compare, Midoriya entered UA High at 15, and Deku ended the final war with Shigaraki roughly a year and a half later. In contrast, Miles took up the mantle when he was about 14, and currently has been working as Spider-Man up to being 18 years old. He has also had a lot less breaks in-between his hero work compared to Deku, and has also received more direct and better training from the likes of Captain America and Misty Knight. Not to diss All Might’s training or anything, but he definitely isn’t some martial arts master like the people Miles has both learned from and kept up with. He definitely takes Experience.
But as mentioned previously, this segment is meant to help cement Deku’s winning points. So if Spidey has a notable edge in experience, what is so crucial to bring up here for broccoli hair’s sake? Putting it simply, Miles is a pretty good strategist. He’s good at exploiting and figuring out weaknesses like he did with Quantum or Hobgoblin (targeting things like predictability and equipment reliance respectively). He’s certainly very good at quick decision making and in the moment thinking. But the big problem here is that while Spider-Man is certainly an amazingly strategic fighter? Deku is outright spectacular. Ha.
Deku is a master of power analysis, strategy deducement, weakness exploitation, you get it. This is fitting for him considering his fascination with the supernatural from a young age, which has led to both an analytical mindset as well as a well of knowledge when it comes to basically every MHA super hero you can name. He figured out the sniper Lady Nagant’s positioning with several decoys and approached her through a nearby building, despite him seemingly being pinned within his own smoke screen at the time. He realized Muscular’s sustained damage was holding him back by noticing minor tweaks in his movement speed and strategic approach, and used this knowledge to go in for a zero risk one shot blow. Hell, he countered Shigaraki’s usage of Deku’s own Danger Sense through disguising his approach with a mix of Blackwhip attacks and smoke to obscure his position, presenting Shigaraki with too many problems at once.
He has both laid the groundwork for plans before and during high speed combat, setting up pieces he doesn’t even know what to use for even in the most dire of circumstances just for the sake of setting up potential pieces in later plans. And it is not just power analysis either, in his first fight with Bakugo he was able to read his moves thanks to prior study (and remember this was way before Midoriya got any sort of proper battle experience). His plans have been so effective that he’s been able to make seemingly useful powers shine, like when he used Smokescreen against Shigaraki. Shigaraki had both Search and Danger Sense which let him track people as well as have a super sense for incoming danger. On paper this hard countered Smokescreen, but Deku was still able to get use out of the Quirk. He combined it with Gearshift to keep the smoke cloud slow to keep it in place, before sending in a fake Blackwhip attack carrying the spirit of the 2nd One For All user to misdirect Shigaraki’s tracking, letting Deku get in close by misleading Shigaraki’s radar.
And this leads into the big point here: while Miles has plenty of useful abilities with webs, electricity, constructs, and his super sense, he does not really have anything Midoriya has not seen before. He has countered his own Danger Sense before when Shigaraki used it (without the support of his own Danger Sense), outmaneuvering it through overwhelming and misdirection. He has classmates like Sero with similar binding moves to Spidey’s webs, and can adjust to the versatility of people like Yaoyorozu who can create distinct weapons at will. In fact, other members of his class have countered lack of sight through methods Midoriya can replicate, like Bakugo countering obscurity through a smoke screen by just blasting the whole thing apart. Considering his incredible AOE potential, there is no doubt Deku could counter Spidey’s invisibility by simply blasting the whole area with a big shockwave Miles has no defense against. The invisibility has also been countered before by smart fighters like Bucky comparing Spidey to the surroundings, so it is logical that Deku could find him through similar methods.
Again, it is not like Miles is not good strategically in his own right, he is definitely really smart. But whereas Spider-Man uses battle analysis to help him come out on top, battle analysis and power function is Deku’s passion. All of this is also putting aside that several of Deku’s big plans and strategies have been developed in the midst of shrugging off severe battle damage and recoil. For cases where Miles has broken a limb or been shot, while he has been able to power through, he has still been pushed back to having to rethink his strategy due to the new problem. Midoriya on the other hand has managed to make multiple plans and run around a forest for an hour after having both his arms broken and experiencing major blood loss, super early in his adventures. Pain tolerance feats in cases like against Shigaraki are even more impressive for him.
Midoriya is not just the better planner, but he is way better at powering through pain or other distractions to develop and execute his ideas efficiently and effectively. Miles is certainly a capable thinker by all means, but Deku has shown to have far better Adaptability when it comes to powering through bad scenarios, adjusting to new complex abilities, and showcasing his top notch strategic skills.

Overall, while this matchup was far from one sided, the victor here was fairly clear cut once comparing the two. Despite being able to keep up in speed, Spider-Man did not have the means to take advantage of that factor. Even with his highest possible arguments for raw power, Deku still outpaced him by over a thousand times. Even with distinct abilities like the Spider-Sense and his camouflage, Deku both had potent abilities in his own regard while also having the strategic edge needed to not only keep up with Miles’ tricks but surpass them outright. Even with better experience as a hero, Spidey’s advantages just did not have enough oomph to overcome Deku’s much more significant advantages. As remarkable as Miles Morales was in doing his own thing, Izuku Midoriya simply had the strength, powers, and adaptability needed to catch this spider by its web.
Spider-Man simply could not go the extra Miles to win, as his opponent was truly something to Marvel at. The winner is Izuku Midoriya, the hero known as Deku.
